Adrain 'Buddy' Tucker
Funeral services for Adrain 'Buddy' Tucker, 75, of Sulphur Springs were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 14, at Murray-Orwasky Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Burns officiating.
Burial was at North Hopkins Cemetery with Mr. Tucker's grandsons serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Tucker died at 9 a.m. Friday, April 11, at Woodhaven Nursing Home.
He was born on July 8, 1927, in Hopkins County, to Isaac and Bessie Pickle Tucker. He married Mattie Lou Joslin on June 30, 1945, in Commerce. She survives.
Mr. Tucker was a retired self-employed diesel mechanic. He was a member of Peerless Baptist Church.
Other survivors include thee sons, James Tucker of Kilgore, Archie Tucker of Peerless and Mike Tucker of Sulphur Springs; five daughters, Patsy Large, Nancy Large and Rita Martin, all of Arizona, Sherri Ferrell of Posey and Carla Dixon of Tira; 23 grandchildren, Paula Tucker, Melissa Weatheread, Brian Tucker, Tammy Faulks, Kimberly Howell, Cindy Roach, Rodney Tucker, Robin Valenzuela, Julie Large, Rocky Large, Tara Leybas, Bridget Lemond, Cory Ferrell, Kristy Alvarez, Jeremy Dixon, Michael Tucker, Articia Gonzalez, Megan Martin, Brittany Martin, Sharon Petty, Clint Gilchrest, Carrie Beets and Jimmy Tucker; 13 great-grandchildren, Michael Hooten, Misty Hooten, Ryan Tucker, Dylon Weatheread, Sarah Weatheread, C.J. Gilchrest, Colten Faulks, Drew Howell, Emily Large, Celeste Large, Railey Lemond, Cora Siliven and Makaila Gonzalez; and four sisters, Mary Ferrell of Posey, Wynell Duffer of Peerless, Marie Adams of Ridgeway, and Bertha McKiddy.
