A graveside service for Bertha McKiddy, age 95, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Emblem Cemetery, at 1:30 p.m., Friday, November 9, 2012, with Rev. Jim Barksdale officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Hunt, Ricky Hunt, Danny Mathis, Billy Mathis, Josh Ferrell and Joe Toon. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 9, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Bertha McKiddy passed away Tuesday afternoon November 6, 2012 at Sunny Springs Nursing and Rehab.

She was born in Sulphur Springs on September 2, 1917, the daughter of Dude Butler and Bessie (Pickle) Butler. She married Emmit Leon McKiddy. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of God.

include: three daughters, Barbara Hunt of Sulphur Springs, Helen Mathis of Red Oak and Linda Clark of Italy, Texas; two sisters, Mary Ferrell of Birthright and Wynell Duffer of Midland; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Shirley Wheeler; brother, Buddy Tucker; four sisters, Sissy Martin, Leatrice Stemridge, Lillie McWilliams and Marie Foust and two grandchildren, Debbie Jackson and Gary Duffer.
