He was born Dec. 19, 1922, in Bergton, and was a son of the late David Perry and Mary Sonifrank Hottinger.
He was a beef and poultry farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he served in Germany and the Pacific Theater. He was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Bergton.
On June 19, 1948, he married the former Beulah Mae Dove, who preceded him in death Sept. 5, 1989.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Judy Hottinger of Bergton; a sister, Ressie Hottinger Robinson of Bridgewater; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pastor Sarah Trone Garriott will conduct a funeral service 3 p.m. Sunday at Martin Luther Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
