The funeral for Mrs. Estella Hottinger Davis, 55, of Bridgewater will be conducted 4 p.m. today at Muhlenberg Lutheran Church in Harrisonburg by the Rev. C.J. Martin and the Rev. Jacob Meyer. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Davis died Saturday morning in Rockingham Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Tuesday. She had been in failing health several years.
She was born Aug, 12, 1917 at Bergton and was a daughter of David Perry Hottinger of Harrisonburg and the late Mrs. Mary Sonifrank Hottinger.
She was a member of Muhlenberg Lutheran Church and of the Ladies auxiliary of Collins-Hughes Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.
On April 9, 1945, she married Hershel W. Davis, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Richard Davis, Nolan Davis and Stuart Davis, all of Bridgewater; four sisters, Mrs. Edith Mitchell, Mrs. Melvina Miller and Miss, Ressie Hottinger, all of Harrisonburg, and Mrs. Lelia Combs of Christiansburg, and two brothers, George Hottinger of Bergton and Kermit Hottinger of Fulks Run.
Pallbearers will be Harold Shomo, Frank Stoutamyer, Ralph Rhodes, John Simmons, Jack Bowman, and Fred Fechtman.
Relatives are asked to meet 3:30 p.m. today at the Davis home.
