Peru Tribune May 13,2002: Born to Donald C Bowyer and Mary Nead Bowyer. Both are deceased. Married Willis K. Bowen June 30, 1938. He died June 6, 1960. She married Will Hartleroad. He is deceased. Hartleroad was a homemaker and a former cook at Nead School. She was also a graduate of Onward High School and a member of the Miami County Historical Society and the First Church of God. Survivors include four sons, Grant "Bud" Montgomery of Peru, Sherriel Bowen of Peru, Duaine Bowen of Peru and M.Kevin Bowen of Bokeelia, Fla.; two daughters, Lorrita Godwin of Peru, Beverly Bowen of Peru; three brothers, Vinal Bowyer of Peru, Clayson Bowyer of Peru, Larry Bowyer of Peru; a sister, Joyce Bowyer of Peru; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, four sisters and four grandchildren.
