CLAYSON BOWYER, 84 of Peru, passed away at 12:59 pm Thursday December 25, 2014 at his residence.

He was born in Walton IN on February 11, 1930 the son of Donald C and Mary Nead Bowyer. Clay married Ina Jean Wayne at the Methodist Hospital Chapel Indianapolis IN on February 11, 1961, and she preceded him in death on September 27, 2014.

Clay was a US Air Force Veteran and he and his wife Jean owned and operated Bowyer Excavating and Concrete in Indianapolis and the Four Winds Marina in Bokeelia FL.

Surviving are four children; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a brother, Vinal Bowyer and his wife Margie of Peru.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jean and siblings Glodene, Kenneth, Quentin, Clarice, Deloris, Lamoine, Darl, Glatis, Larabee, Kerlin and Joyce.

A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Clayson Bowyer will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday December 30, 2014 at the Eikenberry Eddy Funeral Home 84 W Main Street Peru with the Pastor Shane Capps officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am till service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
