FINAL RITES
HELD AUG. 11
Funeral services for C.W. London, 61, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at the First Christian church with the Rev. Andy Kamphuis, pastor of the Apache Reformed Church and Rev. S.A. Crouch, officiating.
He died in a Lawton hospital on Aug. 9. He was born at Stecker on March 19, 1921 and was married to Betty Jean Sikes at Lawton on Jan. 12, 1972. He had lived in the Stecker, Anadarko and Apache areas all his life.
He was co-owner of London & Swanda Supply and Elevator and was serving as vice-president of the Oklahoma Grain and Feed Association. He was also a member of the National, Kansas, and Texas Grain and Feed Associations and Texas Panhandle Grain Dealers Association. He was a chairman of the board of the Clark-Bohart Community Building and was past president of the Apache Rotary Club and the Apache Chamber of Commerce.
London was an agent for Oklahoma Farmers Union Insurance and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Apache.
His father and one brother preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; two sons, Wayne of Lawton and Phillip of Apache; one step-daughter, Kathy Ferrell of Elgin; eight grandchildren; his mother, Annie London of Pryor, Ok.; four sisters, Viola Brown of Pryor; Leola Kruze of Duncan, Ok.; Gertrude Callaway of Wichita Falls, Tx.; and Jean Rich of Garland, Tex.
Serving as pallbearers were Wallace Hendricks, Willard Hendricks, C.E. Adams, Kenneth Carter, Max Oakman and George Gallia.
Burial was in Memory Lane Cemetery at Anadarko with Crews Funeral Home in charge.
