Louise Armstrong London, Apache, was born to Edna and Bill Armstrong in Lawton on November 18, 1920. She passed away in Oklahoma City on January 7, 2019 at the age of 98. Viewing will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 9am-7pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 2:00pm at the First United Methodist Church in Apache, officiated by Bud Jones and Anna Marie George. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under direction of Crews Funeral Home.
Louise lived in Lawton through 10 grade before moving to Apache in 1937 during the last ½ of the school year. She graduated from Stecker School, then moved to Anadarko and worked at a department store. She married C.W. London in 1941 and they moved to California, then to Dallas, Texas and back to Oklahoma in 1944 where she had 2 sons, Wayne and Phillip London. They moved to Apache in 1950 where she worked for Elliot’s Department Store. In 1972 she moved to Midwest City and she worked for Sears until she retired in 1984. In 1993 Louise moved back to Apache. She belonged to Stitch in Time Club, Study Club, Happy Workers and Super Seniors Quilting Club, Bridge Club and Saturday night cards. She was a member of the Methodist Church and attended Sunday school. She was an avid quilter, crocheter and knitter.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Edna Armstrong; son, Clyde Wayne London; sisters, Verla Mae Guild and Laverne Loyd; brothers, Dale Armstrong and Charles Armstrong; and former husband, CW London.
Survivors include her son, Phillip London and wife Marlene of Apache; grandchildren: Aaron London and wife Jennifer; Duane Mitchell and husband Sam; Jay London and wife Kasey; Bret London and Eric London; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, June Sherwood and Doris Shaw . Louise’s online
Memorial ID 63945363 was her spouse. Louise married C.W. London in 1941. They had two sons, one is Clyde Wayne London who died before her. Clyde Wayne London, memorial id 57892213 was her son, not her spouse. Louise and C.W. London married in 1941 and they divorced but I don't know the year of their divorce. That's why C.W. London, born in 1921 already has a spouse. C.W. was married twice.
