Mrs. Eich, 65, of Halbur Is Dead

Halbur - Mrs. Charles Eich, 65, died at 5 a.m. yesterday in her home near Halbur. She had been in poor health several years and seriously ill the last three weeks.
Solemn requiem mass will be read at funeral services at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Augustine's church here. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
The rosary will be prayed at 8 o'clock this evening at the Olerich Funeral home. At 1:30 tomorrow, the body will be returned to the family home, where the rosary will be prayed at 8 o'clock tomorrow night.
Mrs. Eich, a lifelong resident of Carroll county, had lived for 44 years on the farm where her death occurred.
She was born Anna Reinart, daughter of Matt and Susan Reinart, March 18, 1886, on a farm near Halbur. She attended school in Roselle.
Her marriage took place April 3, 1907, at St. Augustine's church, with the Rev. J. B. Baeumier officiating.
Surviving with her husband are 10 children and 22 grandchildren. Her children are: Alvin Eich, Halbur; Sr. Mary Picarda, O.S.F. (Alvira), Stacyville; Mrs. Adolph Langel (Evelyn), Templeton; Mrs. George Irlmeier (Lucy), Carroll; Ray Eich, Manning; Mrs. George V. Eischeid (Helen), Halbur; Mrs. Jerome Schenkelberg (Estelle), Carroll; Mrs. John Loughran (Kathryn), Mt. Carmel; Herbert Eich, U. S. army, Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., and Mrs. Lawrence Sporrer (Mildred), Manning.
She also leaves three sisters and three brothers: Mrs. Joe Neu (Elizabeth), Lindsey, Tex.; Mrs. Mike Rick (Lena), Walcott; Joe Reinart, Carroll; Peter Reinart, Halbur; John Reinart, Manning and Mrs. John Schneider (Mary), Funk, Neb.
Two Daughters preceded Mrs. Eich in death: Loretta, at the age of 16 years, and Ann, in infancy.
Mrs. Eich was a member of St. Augustine's church and the Christian Mothers sodality of the parish. She was the first member of the society to be taken by death.
