Mass of Christian Burial for Sally Schenkelberg of Carroll will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday, February 27, 2021 at St. John Paul II Parish – St. Lawrence Church in Carroll. The Celebrant will be Fr. Timothy Schott. Music will be by Kate Cuddy and Sherry Loughran. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Friday at Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. An additional visitation without greeting the family will be held from 9:15 to 9:45 AM on Saturday at St. Lawrence Church.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Sally’s honor to St. John Paul II Catholic Parish in Carroll.

A daughter of Charles and Anna (Reinart) Eich, Sally was born May 15, 1923 in Halbur, Iowa. She attended St. Augustine School there and spent her younger years in the Halbur community. Sally and Jerry Schenkelberg were married on November 26, 1947 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Halbur by Rev. H. B. Kramer.
The Schenkelbergs lived in Carroll. Sally was employed in the cafeteria at St. Lawrence Catholic School for 19 years. She was a member of St. Lawrence Parish, St. Lawrence Ladies Guild, the American Legion Auxiliary, and participated in community volunteer work. Sally enjoyed playing bridge and volunteering, but her passions were her family and her faith.
Survivors include four sons, Dave (Sally), Dan (Kris), Mark (Teri) and Jeff (Debbie); three daughters, Mary Beth (Mark), Jaynie and Lisa (Brian); fifteen grandchildren, David, Laura, Jill, Anna, Tessa, Carin, Brian, Carrie, Sara, Courtney, Jacob, Chad, Jennifer, Mason and Jessie; six great-grandchildren, Kelton, Adley, Oliver, Natalie, Ellie and Frances; two sisters, Kay and Millie.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry, in April 1996; three brothers, Alvin, Ray, and Herbert Eich; six sisters, Loretta Eich, Sister Ricarda Eich, OSF, Lucy Irlmeier, Helen Eischeid, Evelyn Langel, and Anna Eich, in Infancy.
