MESQUITE, Texas -- Mereline Cole Morgan, 66, of Mesquite, formerly of Rowell (Cleveland County), died March 21, 1998, at her home.

Born January 17, 1932, at Rowell, she was a daughter of the late Alvin Lee Cole and Faye Covington Cole.

She was a homemaker, a Baptist and attended Woodlawn school.

he was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Ray Morgan, who died June 9, 1985.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda McKinney of White Oak, Texas, and Brenda Nelson of Mesquite; two brothers, Embry Cole of Pine Bluff and Raymond Cole of Somerville, Tenn.; two sisters, Matte Esther Vinson and Lorene Vison, both of Dallas, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Buie Funeral Home Chapel in Rison with the Rev. Harold Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Prosperity Cemetery at Herbine.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday evening.
