Mrs. Frances Parks Jones, 84, died at her home on Monday after an illness of 2 months in the Hebron Community. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug 15, at the Hebron Baptist Church by Rev JC Beck. Burial was in Honeycomb Cemetery, directed by Carr Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jones was born in Honeycomb Valley, a daughter of the late David and Mary ELizabeth (Kirkland) Ledbetter. She had been a member of Hebron Baptist Church for many years. In 1895 she married George Parks. He died in 1923. In 1928, she married William T Jones of Tennessee.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, six daughters--
Mrs. Mary Hayes of Grant 2, Mrs Lilly Caldwell of Guntersville 2, Mrs. Minnie Wood of Guntersville 4, Mrs. Rebecca Paseur of Grant 1, Mrs. Rosie Kind of Chattanoogna, TN, and Mrs. Clara Clay of Woodville 1; a son, Leonard PArks of Grant 1; two sisters,Mrs. Lee Anderton of Section and Mrs. Mary saint of Grant 1; 3 brothers, Arthur, Tom and Watson Ledbetter all of Grant; 31 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.
