Services for Mrs. Janie Beets, 80, Byars, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Byars where she was a long-time member.
She died Saturday in a Purcell hospital.
Mrs. Beets was born in Trousdale, Ind. Terr., Ok on March 23, 1890 to Edward VanSchuyver and Julie Ann Carnes. She had lived in Byars for 58 years.
The Rev. Theodore Loveless will officiate with burial in Byars Cemetery. Stratford Pickard Funeral Home is in charge of all arraignments.
She was preceded on death by her husband of 60 yrs, Wm. Harrison Beets, daughter, Doris Myree, sons; James Edward, William Fred, Ray Rayford, Ralph Alvin Beets. She is survived by daughters, Lizzie Julia Myers, Delhi, Calf., and Ellen Calcia Brewer, Cressey, Calif.,; sons, Vernon, and Elmer Beets, both of the home; one sister, Mrs. Rose Fox, Stratford; two brothers, Floyd Van Schuyver, Amber, Okla., and Vernon Van Schuyver, Vanoss, 17 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
