Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 3921 20th St., Columbus, with the Rev. Joseph A. Miksch officiating.
A vigil will be 6 p.m. Monday at the church. Viewing and visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Interment will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Spalding.
Mary C. Todd was born Feb. 10, 1915, in Arden (Wheeler County) to Thomas M. and Edna (Ford) Carraher on the family homestead at the eastern end of the Allerton-Thomoson Ranch.
The family moved to Spalding to the farm west of town in 1918 where she attended Spalding Academy.
After graduating in 1933, she accepted a civil service appointment in Baltimore and Washington, serving 35 years in the Federal government. She retired in 1973 from the Department of Justice.
Mary was an enthusiastic golfer and active in tournament activities.
Her husband, Del Todd, a greenskeeper, died Nov. 1, 1985.
Her sister, Margaret Briggs, joined her in Maryland after the death of her husband ,and they later returned to their native Nebraska in 1992 to be near family. They continued to enjoy golf, bowling and senior league activities. Mary enjoyed many hobbies: motor home travel, family genealogy and especially piano music, always encouraging members of the family in music and singing.
She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers and the Legion of Mary Auxiliary.
She is survived by: Sister, Margaret Briggs, of Columbus; sister, Teresa Keuter, of Columbus; brother, Robert (Patricia) Carraher, of Spalding; sister-in-law, Sue Carraher, of Spalding; sister-in-law, Adele Carraher, of Florida; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
She is preceded in death by: parents; husband: Delbert Todd; brothers and sisters: Albert (Claudia) Carraher, Ernestine (Lloyd) Bumgardner, Michael (Bette) Carraher, James (Dortha) Carraher, Paul Carraher, Betty (Howard) Allen, and Dennis Carraher.
