John H. Collins

Fairmont--Funeral Services for John H. Collins, 76, who died at his home in Lumberton, Rt 3, after an illness of two years, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Prevatte Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Presley officiating. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.

He was a native of Robeson County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. L.T. Collins, and was a member of Center Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Wilkerson Collins; one son, Charles Ingram Collins of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Caroline Floyd of Florence, S.C., Mrs. Annie Carter of Bladenboro, and Mrs. Alice Capps of Orrum, Rt 1.

Active pallbearers will be F.M. Wilkerson, Isham Wilkerson, Douglas Collins, Mack Johnson, Bobby Elliott, Sammy Collins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Alec McLean, E.L. Whiting, Jim Britt, Lee Kinlaw, Proctor Shooter, D.G. Collins, Dr. Loyd Pate, Avery Atkinson, Dave Lewis, Willie Small, Bill Leggett, Billy Jenkins, and Colin Jenkins.

Flowers will be arranged by Mrs. Nash Lamb, assisted by Mrs. Lee Kinlaw, Mrs Frazier Britt, Mrs. Graham Sona, Mrs. David Sealey, Jr., Mrs. Douglas Collins, Mrs. Sammy Collins, Mrs. Whitt Taylor, Mrs. Jean Flowers, Mrs. Tom Britt, Mrs. Bill Floyd.
