Loretta Ann Stockton Jarvis was born December 25, 1871 and died June 6, 1946, being 74 years, 5 months and 11 days old. She was married to S. L. Jarvis, November 17, 1897. To this union was born seven children, two having died in infancy. The remaining living are, Otis Jarvis, St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Wilma Coe, Byrdstown, Tenn., Reed Jarvis, Albany, Ky., Edward Jarvis, Jackson, Mich. and 13 grandchildren, also one brother, Paul Stockton, Monticello, Ky., two sisters, Mrs. R. B. Poling, Crosby, N. D. and Mrs. Perk Lovelace, Cooper, Ky.

She professed faith in Christ in early womanhood, joining the church at Cedar Hill later moving her membership to the Albany Methodist Church and lived a faithful member until death. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother and the Christian life that she lived will be an influence to the many friends and relatives that dearly loved her.
