Wilma Kissner, 92, of Lamberton, formerly of Windom, died Nov. 21, 2010, at Valley View Manor in Lamberton, where she had been a resident since 2008.
A family-only service will be held Sunday, Dec. 5, at Lamberton Cemetery in Lamberton. Sturm Funeral Home of Lamberton is handling the funeral arrangements.

Wilma Purrington was born April 11, 1918, to William B. and Emma (Paulson) Purrington in Windom. She graduated from Windom Hgh School and continued working there after graduation as a school secretary until her marriage.
In 1940, Wilma married Robert B. Kissner. They farmed five miles north of Jeffers until retiring and moving into Jeffers in 1983. They were members of Germantown EUB Methodist Church and later the Methodist Church in Jeffers.

Wilma was a champion blood doner, gardener extraordinaire, flower arranging champion, seamstress and quilter, making a dozen quilts for charity in her later years. She also enjoyed knitting slippers for her entire family. She most enjoyed the years when she was cared for her grandchildren. She was graceful, generous and a loving mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kissner in 2008; her daughter, Diane in 1943; and three brothers: Lowell, Wilburt and William Purrington.
Survivors include her children: Julie, Duane, Carol and Jerry; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Carlblom and Doris Bakalyar, both of Windom; and a sister-in-law, Viola Reif of Bismarck, N.D.
