Marshall Acton, 62, Is Stricken

John Marshall Acton, 62, Route 3 carpenter, died about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bartholomew county hospital after a 2-year illness.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Barkes and Inlow funeral home with burial at Section cemetery. The Rev. Russell Hall of Cambridge city will read the rites. Persons may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 16, 1901, the son of John and Marion Blankenship Acton. His first wife, Miss Opal Imlay, whom he married in 1920 died in 1935. He then married Miss Mary Smith on May 25, 1937, and she survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Marshall E. Acton of Route 7, Eugene O. Acton of 134 Fourth street, John R. Acton of Indianapolis and Mark A. Acton at home; six daughters, Mrs. Warren Davis, Mrs. Paul Hill, Mrs. Ernst Rouzaud and Mrs. Lynn Christie, all of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Jack Isadore of North Bend, Ore., and Miss Susan Acton, at home and 19 grandchildren.
