Gene lived in the Michigan area untill he joined the U.S. Army, August 1950 thru 1953, Where he was injured. He married his wife Irene Vossen in Port Huron Michigan. They later moved to Tacoma Washington where they took over a resterant at the Elks Allenmore. After several years they moved to Seattle with their four children.
Gene took a job at the Olympic Bowling ally and
a part time job at Highline Security Patrol in
Seattle. Gene loved Police work and joined the Police Force full time with Normandy Park Police Department where he also drove Highline school bus, for the Highline district. Gene and Irene had two sons born while living in Seattle. Michael Fisher and Eugene Fisher Jr.
Gene, Irene and two sons moved to Taft California in 1976 where he worked for the IT Corporation for 13 years. Driving a vacuum truck.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
His survivors include his wife Irene Fisher, three sons: George Vossen, Michael Fisher and wife Susan, and Gene Fisher Jr and his wife Nancy of Taft.
Three daughters. Roberta and Husband Jerry Ballard, of Seattle, Joan and her husband Harry Gross, of Fellows California, Jean and her husband William Wells. of Taft California. Also 10 grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren.
Gene is preceded in death by his father Michael Fisher of Port Huron Michigan, Mother Katherian Fisher of Port Huron Michigan.one grandson Harry J. Gross III in Tulsa Oka.
Arrangements were through Ericson & Brown Funeral Home. Friends and family paid their respects on Sunday from 1:00 pm. to 8:30 pm.
Gene will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
