We lost a great lady on Saturday, November 26, Roberta was a sister, mother ,grandmother, great grandmother, and soon to great great grandmother. She was born in Everett Washington on January 24, 1946. Roberta died in Pueblo Colorado, with her family by her side.
She attended several schools and graduated from Mount Rainer in Seattle Washington; 1965. She married Jerry K. Ballard on August 10, 1964. Roberta raised three children; Jerry K. Ballard Jr., Irene R. Ballard, and Donald E. Ballard all in Seattle Washington. They moved to Pueblo Colorado in 1994 Where her husband worked in the Steel mill for several years.
She was a certified Nursing Assistant. Roberta also taught herself how to sew and crochet. She joined Warm Hearts, Warm Babies who made clothes, sweaters and bibs for the new babies at the hospitals in Colorado Springs. You could always find her buying things to crochet for the babies. Every holiday the club would take baskets to the hospitals to give to the new mothers. They would make holiday outfits for the babies to go home in, Christmas or Halloween. Etc. Roberta was looking forward to sewing for the twin great, grandbabies.
Roberta is survived by her children; Jerry Ballard Jr. and his wife Rebecca, Grandchildren BreAnne and husband Josh Berry, Their children Kieran and Zaiden of Pueblo CO, Brandon Ballard and wife Stephanie, Irene Ballard Willner husband Mike of Seattle WA, grand children Jessica Bickler husband Jerrold of Seattle WA, and Jerrica Downs of Los Angeles CA, Donald Ballard and his wife Tina of Florida. Also Sister Joan Gross of Taft CA Daughters Kristine Gross, her children Destiny Shelley and Dakota Shelley. Daughter Robyn Turner., Brother Mike Fisher of Taft CA. His wife Susan and children Morissa and husband Colton Benson, children Makenna, Cethan, and Cheston. Daughter Charissa Fisher.
