Irene Edna Fisher

Irene Edna Fisher, 85, passed away in her sleep on October 22, 2013 with family by her side. Irene was born on April 14, 1928 in Kalispell, Montana and was third of five children: Helyn, Dorothey, Harry, Jr., and Hazel Jean. She grew up in Montana, Washington and Michigan and in this time she had four children, Roberta, Jean, Joan and George. In 1959 she married Eugene John Fisher, Sr. in Port Huron, Michigan. At this time they all moved to Tacoma, Washington where they bought a golf course restaurant. Eugene took a job as police officer in Normandy Park so they moved to Seattle, Washington. At this time they were blessed with two more children, Michael G. Fisher and Eugene J. Fisher, Jr. In 1976 they moved to California where Gene took a job with ITT Corp. Eugene passed away in November 1989 and she moved to Fellows, CA to be next to her daughter. In 2007 she moved to Taft with her daughter and family. Irene enjoyed old movies and anything Elvis and even went to Graceland twice. Irene was a sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a great-great-grandmother and loved all of her family. Irene is survived by her daughter, Roberta (Vossen) Ballard and her children, son, Jerry Ballard, Jr. and his daughter, BreAnn Ballard, and her son, Kieran Lee Barry; son, Brandon Ballard all of Pueblo, CO; daughter, Irene Ballard Willner and her husband, Mike, of Seattle, WA, her children, Jessica Ballard of Seattle, WA, Jerrica Downs of Garden Grove, CA; son, Donald Ballard of Fort Collins, CO; Joan (Vossen) Gross and her children, Kristine Shelley and her husband, Shawn, their children, Destiny and Dakota Shelley all of Taft; daughter, Robyn (Gross) Turner of Taft; Mike G. Fisher and his wife, Susan (Goodman) Fisher and their children, Charissa Fisher of Taft and Morissa Fisher and soon to be daughter, Makenna of Nebraska; sister, Dorothy O'Conner and husband, Nelson, of Valley Springs, CA, children, David Hemphill and wife, Mary of CA, Diane (Hemphill) LaFramboise and husband, Merle; children, Amy LaFramboise and James LaFramboise of San Jose, CA, Donita (Hemphill) Levett and daughter, Andrra and her husband of San Jose, CA; also Kevin Jackson of MD, son of sister, Helyn. Grandchildren are George H. Vossen of MT and his daughter, Angel Vossen of Taft, Michael Vossen of Taft; nephews and nieces, Jerrold Hart and his children, Josh, Chris and Steven; Jackie and her husband, Bobby Radkie, children, Harmony and Cody of Wisconsin, John Hart of WA, Renee and husband, James Thompson, children, Elisha and Kyle all of San Jose, CA, Cheryl and husband, David Gamaz of WA, Scott Niel, wife, Ronda and son, Arthur Niel of CA, daughter-in-law, Nancy Fisher of Taft and many more. Preceded in death by mother, Hazel Farquharson in 1999 ,Taft, CA, father, Harry J. Gross, Sr. in 1979,Polsom MT; her husband, Eugene Fisher, Sr. in 1989, Sepulveda, CA, sister, Helyn Jackson in 1998 of Roy, WA, Sister, Hazel Jean Lysne in 1979, Seattle, WA, brother, Harry J. Gross, Jr. in 2006, Fellows, CA, grandson, Harry J. Gross, III in 1980, Tulsa, OK, daughter,Jean Wells, in 2008, North Carolina, brother-in-law, William Wells, in 2005, Nashville, TN, son, George A. Vossen, in 2008, Taft, CA, daughter-in-law, Jean Vossen, in 2002, MT, son-in-law, Jerry Ballard, Sr., in 2009, Pueblo, CO, son, Eugene J. Fisher, Jr. in 2011, Taft, CA, Yuvonne Muraanes in 2008, Seattle, WA, Becky Noble, in 2008, Seattle, WA, Eddie Tibbits, in 1979, Ventura, CA. We would also like to thank Optimal Hospice staff and Kitty for all their help in taking care of our mother. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Erickson & Brown Funeral Home. Irene lived a good life and was loved by all and missed dearly. Rest in peace. Irene will be placed with her husband at Washington Memorial Cemetery in Seattle, Washington. A small get together will be after the funeral at the daughter's residence.
