Malachi L. Higgins, 92, died in Middlesex County at 2:20 a.m. yesterday. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and retired Navy Yard employee.
Mr. Higgins is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J. T. Edwards, and Mrs. Thomas J. Hurst, both of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Christopher C. Colenda, of Norfolk; one son, Stephen J. Higgins, of Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. Kate Connor, of Roxbury, Mass; one brother, Michael Higgins, of Meriden, Conn.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Brennan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. tomorrow in St. Paul's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
Rosary services will be conducted at the funeral home at 8 p.m. today.
