Mrs. Finch died early Saturday morning at her home in Buckingham village of neuralgia of the heart. She and her husband moved only a few months ago from Traer to be near their daughter, Mrs. Davis. Although she had been an invalid for years, her death came suddenly and was a great shock to her relatives. Her condition was not considered alarming until Friday, when there was a sudden and serious change for the worse. She became unconscious Friday and so remained until the end. The family have the sympathy of all our people in the loss of a good wife and mother.
Deceased was a native of Michigan. She was born in Coldwater, Michigan on August 8, 1848 coming to Iowa with her parents in 1861. In 1866 she married John D. Finch in Toledo and the couple lived in this county some years. Later they located a t Green Mountain and spent some years in Boone. Five years ago, they came to Traer and spent a year or two, returning here two years ago, A few weeks ago they moved from Traer to Buckingham, Mrs. Finch was a member of the Christian church, with which she became identified when a girl.
She leaves to mourn her loss the husband and six children, one child having died. The living are Albert R. and Fred W. in Traer; Loren whereabouts unknown; Mrs. W. W. Beatty, near Traer; Oren H., near Gladbrook; Mrs. A. T. Davis, Buckingham. The funeral was hold on Monday afternoon Rev Copeland conducted the service in the Traer Methodist Episcopal church. Burial was in Buckingham cemetery.
Those from a distance who were present at the funeral were her two sons Oren and family from Gladbrook and Harry and family from Boone and Mr. Finch’s brother and wife from Clinton.
