Stephen Groner, the only son of Simon and Mary Groner, was born in 1859. He worked on the Martin and Mary Bode farm and purchased it before he married Regina Feltrop Heitman. They were married on February 10, 1885 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia, Missouri. Seven children were born to Stephen and Regina Groner.
