William Hesher was the second child of John Martin Herger and Sarah Mary Herger. William and 3 siblings came to Glasco with their parents in 1869. Four more siblings were born later. William remained unmarried and lived in Glasco, KS, until after 1900. At that time he moved to Saline County with his Mother where they bought a farm near Gypsum. He and several of his siblings changed their name from Herger to Hesher for reasons lost-to-history.
