COBERLYS MARRIED 50 YEARS
[picture of the couple]
Mr and Mrs Homer Coberly observed their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday with an afternoon reception in the Blue room of the Strand hotel.
Mr and Mrs Coberly were married January 1, 1910, at the home of the Reverend Cole of Chillicothe, in the presence of the groom's aunt, Mrs Belle Cravens, now of Colorado Springs. Mrs Cravens was unable to be here for the observance.
The reception room was decorated with gold bells, yellow streamers and potted plants. The table was covered with a silk lace cloth over yellow with crystal candelabra and gold candles. The wedding cake was surrounded with gold and holly and had a large gold ball on top.
Cake, punch, coffee and mints were served to the guests by the daughters and granddaughters. The couple received many gifts, flowers and cards.
The children presented Mr and Mrs Coberly with a television set.
