Funeral services for H.A. (Uncle Berry) Bridges, pioneer Etowah County citizen who died at the home of his son in Gadsden, were conducted at Hopewell Church in St. Clair County with the Rev. Roy Hewlett, of the Eleventh Street Methodist Church officiating.
Active pallbearers were R.A. Leath, John Robertson, Howard Kirby, arthur davis, C.S. Hill and M.C. Silvey.
Surviving is the widow, Mrs. Ellen Free Bridges of Gadsden; three sons, John W. Bridges, E.N. Bridges and J.F. Bridges, all of Gadsden; two daughters, Mrs. Bettie Burton, of Texas and Mrs. L.D. Nelson, of Gadsden.
