Cecil Carrington Dillon was born March 2, 1883 in Monroe Co., WV to the family of Joseph Valentine and Helen I. Chambers Dillon. He was the second eldest of eight children. By 1900 he is shown living with his parents and siblings in Red Sulphur, where his father is shown to be a farmer and Cecil is listed as a farm laborer. Later in 1900 this family is shown to be living in Peterstown. On March 20, 1916, Cecil married Lenora Blanche Akers in Monroe Co. Lenora was the daughter of Hily F. and Mahala A. Akers, born in Red Sulphur, Monroe Co. By 1920, Cecil and Lenora are living in Red Sulphur, Monroe Co., with two small children. By 1930, the family, still in Red Sulphur, has four children, where Cecil is listed as a farmer involved in general farming. Cecil and Lenora eventually had, at least, the four children: Myrtle Ruth, Raymond Tarlton (also interred in the Orchard Cemetery), Theodore Junior and Robert Lee Dillon at listed as born in Cashmere, Monroe Co.
