Robert L. "Bob" Dillon, 65, 147 S. Grant St., Wooster, died Sunday morning, May 21, at West View Manor Nursing Home.

Private burial of the remains will be at Fryburg Cemetery.

Arrangement are being handled by Custer Funeral Home, Wooster.

He was born in 1929 in West Virginia to Cecil and Blanche (Akers) Dillon and moved to Wooster from West Virginia in 1952.

He worked in the oil fields as a driller for Bill Hill and George Campfire, and was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Wooster.

Surviving are his wife, Carol (Mitchell) Dillon, whom he married Sept. 25, 1991; six children, Mickie and Kevin, both of Wooster, Randy of Millersburg, David of California, Matthew of Denver, and Connie Dillon of Knox County; three stepchildren, Michael Dillon of Cleveland, Cathy Griffith and Vicki Heilman, both of Rittman; several grandchildren; and two brothers, Theodore "Junior" of Killbuck and Darrell of Rittman.

His first wife, Gloria Dillon, one brother, Ray, and one sister, Myrtle Mann, died previously.
