Thomas Aaron "Bud" Slaton Sr.

Services for Thomas Aaron "Bud" Slaton Sr., 87, of Greenwood, who died of heart failure Sunday, Jan 21, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, will be at 11 a. m, Tuesday at the Brentwood Avenue Church of God in Greenwood.

Born in Carroll County, he had lived in Greenwood most of his life. He was a retired truck driver. He was a member of Brentwood Avenue Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Slaton of Greenwood; four daughters, Debbie Wiggins and Diane McLellan, both of Greenwood, Teresa Tharp of Indianola and Renee Dottley of Jackson; a son, Timmy Slaton of Greenwood; his mother, Annie Lee Slaton of Greenwood; four sisters, Christine Williams of Grenada, Josephine Evans of Boyle, Myrtis Ugolina of Greenville and Ann Overton of Columbus; three brothers, Marvin Slaton, Paul Slaton and Bobby Slaton, all of Greenwood; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p m to 9 p.m. today at the church. The Rev. Judy Slaton and the Rev. Eugene Eubanks will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Carroll County.

Pallbearers will be Bill Hopper, Marty Wiggins, Mark Wifigins, Robbie McLellan, Barry Tharp and Andy Gentry.
