Gladys Irene Hart, 82, of Leon, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at home with her daughter, Billie Jo Williamson, with whom she lived.

She was a homemaker.

She was born Jan. 6, 1927 in Mason County, a daughter to the late Harvey and Serena Elizabeth "Liz" McDade Rollins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Dempsey Hart; and her brothers and sisters, Charlie, Boyd, Wade, Jesse and Delbert Rollins, Bess Wilson, Ester Hook, Peggy Jordan and Hazel Mattox.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Billie Jo and Steve Williamson of Leon; sons and daughters-in-law, Ervin and Pam Hart of Leon, Clifford and Rita Hart of Leon, Warren Dale and Judy Hart of Rutland, Ohio, and Clotis and Deloris Hart of Leon; seven grandsons; four granddaughters; several great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jo Fooce of Letart, Jan Jenkins of Avon, Ind., Virginia Thomas of Point Pleasant and Epa Rollins of Point Pleasant; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 10 at Mount Zion Cemetery on Thomas Ridge Road with Pastor Sampy Hart officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no public visitation.

Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant is serving the family.
