Maude Weeks Chittum, 95, of Rt. 1, Fairfield, died July 13, 1982, at her home. She was the widow of Stuart A. Chittum. Mrs. Chittum was born May 1, 1887, in Rockbridge County. She was the daughter of the late Baker Weeks and Annie Lynn Weeks.

Mrs. Chittum, a homemaker, was the oldest member of the Fairfield United Methodist Church and was an alumnus of Southern Seminary Junior College.

Surviving are three sons, Edwin W. Chittum of Chesapeake, W. B. Chittum, of Lexington and Paul W. Chittum of Fairfield; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Burwell of Beaver, Pa. and Mrs. Faye C. Webb of Hyattsville, Md; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Chaplain Robert K. Wilson will conduct a funeral service at 11 a. m. Friday, July 16, at the Fairfield United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery, VA.
