Charlie was my husband's uncle. He was the oldest child of Frank and Rose Goodspeed. He married Esther Campbell. They had no children.

Charles E. "Charlie" Goodspeed, age 95, of Alma, passed away on June 3, 2001 at Gratiot Community Hospital. Charlie was born in Gratiot County on June 2, 1906 to Frank and Rose Owens Goodspeed.
Visitation will take place at the Dewey Funeral Home in Alma today, Monday, June 4 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Tuesday, June 5 from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Phillip Friedrick of the Alma United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Alma.
Charlie married Esther Irene Campbell on July 16, 1933. She preceded him in death on May 9, 1992. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Howard and Gene Goodspeed; and one sister, Freda Bertram.
He is survived by two sisters, Hazel Aldrich, of Ithaca, and Florence McNaughton of Mt. Pleasant.
Charlie was retired from the city of Alma after many years of service. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing
