Died after 1942.

Elwyn was my husband's half uncle.

Not much is known about Elwyn. He was an only child from Frank's first marriage to Carrie McCurdy in 1896.

One year of high school.

1920 US Federal Census shows Elwyn as living in Binghamton Ward 8, Broome, NY.

1930 US Federal Census shows him in Butler, Wayne, NY. Spouse listed as Daisy M. Goodspeed.

1940 US Federal Census shows him living in Detroit, MI, Ward 4. He was married then with last place of residence prior to that being Seja, New York. This is on the Family Search site of the LLS. Also, United States World War 1 Draft Registration Cards, 1917-1918, Gratiot County, MI.

Ancestry has it that Elwyn was in the Army at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana as of Oct. 14, 1942. Resident of Allen, Ohio at that time.

Regarding the photo at the right: It's the only one we have been able to find. I acquired it when someone sent me a family photo album they had purchased at a yard sale. It was created by Elwyn's aunt, Rena Goodspeed. It is the only known photo of Elwyn at this time.
