Rose was my husband's grandmother. I wish I could have known her, as I think she was a lovely lady. She had two sons from her first marriage to John Elliott, a marriage which didn't work out. She had the courage to get a divorce at a time when divorce was really frowned on. Later she married Frank, a Michigan farmer, and had three sons and three daughters.
