Obituary: Joseph W. Miller- Joseph W. Miller, 62, died at his home in Buhl Friday following a brief illness. He was born February 6, 1912, in Sedgwick, Colorado. He married Lucille Fritz in Elko, Nevada, April 6, 1947. He came to the Buhl area at the age of six weeks and attended schools here. He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He has lived in the Buhl area since that time. He was a member of the Christian church. Surviving are his wife, Buhl: two sons, Joe D. and Tommy K. Miller, both of Buhl: a daughter, Mrs. Caroline Willey, Anna Marie, Florida. Three sisters, Mrs. Jewel Keen, Mrs. Edna Durfee, and Mrs. Fannie Joens, all Buhl; two brothers, Clyde Miller, Wendell, and Floyd Miller, Chicago, and three grandchildren, Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 26, at 2 p.m. at the First Christian church. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Cox sang as a duet with Mrs. Therold Ward accompanying them. Opening prayer was given by Buddy Fritz, scripture lesson by Sister Mary Bussen, and obituary and remarks by Delbert Alexander. Rev. H.B. Thomas delivered the message and Buddy Fritz gave the benediction. Active pallbearers were Wade Quigley, Walt Moore, Louie Baty, Don Shaver, Glen Clark, and Bill Mares. Honorary pallbearers were Earl McRoberts, Benny Benson, Larry Hulme, Melvin Scherbinske, John Oliver, and Les Partin. Scriptures were read by Rev. H. B. Thomas, prayer by Buddy Fritz, and final committal prayer by Dale Christensen. Concluding services ere held at the Buhl cemetery under the direction of Dickard funeral chapel with VFW military rites by the honor guard of Mountain Home Air Force base.
