WAYNESBORO - Pearl Dorothy (Harlow) Jones, 77, of 204 Dupont Circle, died on Tuesday (Aug. 27, 1996) at Augusta Medical Center.
She was born on June 7, 1919 at Dooms, a daughter of Wilber B. and Hettie (McDaniel) Harlow.
She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Ashby T. of Lyndhurst and Paul H. and Davd Lee Jones, both of Waynesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Henry H. Davis of Waynesboro and Mrs. Bill Anderson of Woodstock; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest W. Jones, who died in 1994; one son, Roger William Jones; and four brothers and one sister.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Waynesboro chapel of Etter-Reynolds Funeral Service by the Revs. Jack Mallary and Richard Beacham, with burial at Augusta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Ashby Sr., Jesse J. and Jeffrey Jones, James A. Jr. and Edward L. Floyd, Charles A. and Phillip M. Anderson and Mike A. Freed.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family received friends from 7-9 Wednesday at the funeral home and at other times will receive friends at the residence of Ashby and Rebecca Jones, Rt. 1, Box 150A, Lyndhurst.
