Claude E. Harlow,57, of 1025 N.Winchester Ave,died at 10;20 p.m. yesterday at Waynesboro Community Hospital.
He was born on Nov 9,1912, in Augusta County, a son of the late Wilbur B. and Hettie McDaniel Harlow.
Mr.Harlow was self-employed as a mechanic.He was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Gladys P.Harlow of Waynesboro,three daughters,Mrs.Patricia E.Turner of Newport News,Mrs.Claudine E.Conner of Leesville,La., and Mrs.Jewell I.Evans of Smithfield,N.C.,Two sons Ceddie S. Harlow of Tampa,Fla and Claude Brent Harlow of Waynesboro.,two sisters,Nora Rankin of Route 3,Waynesboro,and Pearl Jones of Waynesboro ,two brothers,Hollis Harlow of Route 3,Waynesboro,and Casper Harlow of California: 16 grandchildren,and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the memorial Chapel of McDow-Tryee Funeral Home,conducted by the Rev.Dempsey Carwile.Interment will be in Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
