Hollis McDaniel Harlow,65 of Route 3,died Tuesday in the University of Virginia Hospital,Charlottesville.
Born in Augusta County on June 5,1910, he was the son of the later Wilbur B and Hettie McDaniel Harlow.
He was a retired welder,formerly with Virginia Metalcrafters,Inc.
He was one of the founders of the Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by his widow,Mrs.Estelle Smith Harlow,two sons,Ronald E.Harlow of Kansas City,Mo,and Forrest C.Harlow of Broadway,three daughters,Mrs.Evelyn Smith,Mrs. E.Donald Ficks,both of Waynesboro,and Mrs.Charles (Elaine)Quick of Grottoes,two sisters,Mrs. Earnest (Pearl)Jones of Waynesboro and Mrs.Warren (Nora) Rankin of Stuarts Draft, a brother Casper Harlow of Denver,Colo; 15 grandchildren and one great-
grandchild.
The funeral service will be held at 2p.m. Friday in the Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren,conducted by the Rev.Dee C.Flory.Interment will be in Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends between 6;30and 8;00 p.m. Thursday at the Etter Funeral Home.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the memorial fund of the Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren and the Waynesboro First Aid Crew.
