Mr. Prachejl did not appear in his usual haunts that morning. About noon a friend, Herman Brennfoerder, went to his home and found him dead. Examination by Sheriff Emil Klawitter and County Coroner W.E. Garrison led to the conclusion that he died quietly in his sleep.
Edward Prachejl was born April 4, 1907, the son of Wenzel jr. and Barbara Becwar Prachejl of Jennings, Kans. He passed away July 15, 1961, at his home in Nelson.
He came to Nelson as a child and lived here all his life. He farmed and worked at odd jobs from time to time.
He is preceded in death by an infant sister Febr. 22, 1906; his father, June 14, 1918; and his mother, July 11, 1926. He never married, but leaves to mourn his passing one brother, Billy, of Nelson and one sister, Mrs. Rudolph Hlavac of Lawrence and other relatives and friends.
The Rev. Mr. Ewel Vaughan officiated at the Monday services. Burial was made in the Nelson cemetery (sic).
