DECATUR - Everett Lyle Havener, 79, of Decatur, died Sunday, April 2, 2006, in St. Mary?s Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 A.M. Thursday, April 6, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home Visitation will be 5-8 P.M. Wednesday, April 5, at the funeral home with Masonic Rites at 8:00 P.M. Entombment will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Shriner's Crippled Children Hospital.

Mr. Havener was born August 28, 1926, in Illiopolis, the son of George and Bertha (Cameron) Havener. He married Mary Lou Plunk in Decatur on April 23, 1954. Mr. Havener owned and operated E&M Venders for many years retiring in 1989. He was affiliated with Grace United Methodist Church, and was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in WWII. Mr. Havener was a member of American Legion Post #105, BPOE #401, Stephen Decatur Lodge #979 AF&AM, Scottish Rite Consistory, Ansar Shrine, Decatur Shrine Club, Oriental Band, and the Hillbilly Clan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Inez Moore and Irene Adams, an infant sister, and brothers, Asa, Clifford, Homer, Otis (Chief), Harlan, Tom and George (Russ).
