Bill E. Sturms, age 69, of East Canton, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 in Mercy Medical Center.

He was born February 15, 1941 in Montrose, West Virginia. to the late Aubrey and Lillian (Phillips) Sturms.

Bill was an East Canton resident for the past fourteen years and retired from Dayton Freight Lines Inc in 2008 after fifteen years of service.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Carol J. (Knepper), to whom he was married forty-seven years; three daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Jim Pelley of Wellsville, Ohio, Wendy and Eugene Fankhauser Jr. of Louisville, Erine and Chris Bodo of Perry Township; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Tyler, Emily, Madison, Evan, Aubry, and Macy; his companion canine, Cha-Cha; two brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Terry Bailey officiating.
Interment will be in Mapleton Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
