The daughter of Bartlett Cave and Jane "Jenny" Snow, both of Orange Co.,
Virginia, Surry Co., North Carolina, and Lone Jack, Jackson Co., Missouri. Jenny
was daughter of Frost & Snow, Sr. and his wife Elizabeth Johnson.

She married 20 Dec 1820, Surry Co., NC, to James Snow, her first cousin, son of
Frost & Snow, Jr. and Elizabeth Ballard.

They went west to the new little settlement of Lone Jack, Jackson Co., MO along
with Alley's family and James' brother John sometime in the late 1830s.

They were living near Lone Jack in 1840 with their children:

when Jane was back living with her mother. This Hopper may have been a son of
Charles Hopper, who in 1840 lived next door to both James and John Snow and had
sons the right age. She was living her sister and mother in 1880 and apparently
died by 1900. Buried Lone Jack cemetery.

2. Bird Snow, b. 16 Aug 1830, Surry Co., NC; m. 23 May 1854, Jackson Co., MO to
Frances Smith [b. Mar 1840, NC; d. 1900-1910; buried Lone Jack cemetery;
daughter of Charles Smith & Nancy Golden]; he d. 20 Mar 1912, Lone Jack, Jackson
Co., MO; buried Lone Jack cemetery.

3. Frances Snow, b. 4 Dec 1832, Surry Co., NC; m. 24 Nov 1853, Lone Jack,
