Death of Mr. Chas. N. Albert

Mr. Charles N. Albert died at his home near Keenan, this county, last Thursday night, August 20, 1903, at midnight of consumption. He was a native of Craig County, Virginia, and 31 years of age. He was a very estimable and exemplary man and a member of the Christian Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, four brothers (Messrs. John L., M. K., and H. P albert of the Keenan neighborhood, and W. H Albert of Gas City, In.), and three sisters (Mrs. Amanda Lucas of Fincastle, Va., Mrs. Josie Givens of Giles Co., Va., and Mrs. Floyd Ferrell of Craig Co., Va.). At his request his remains were taken back to Craig County and interred in the Ross graveyard by the side of his mother last Saturday. His three brothers here, Miss Nannie Eakin and Mr. B. A Shirey accompanied his body to its last resting place. A large crowd attended the burial which took place at 3 p.m., the services being conducted by Rev. Byrd Givens.
