In 1870 he was living in Jefferson Township, Marshall County, Iowa. He lived in Cedar, Smith, Kansas in 1880. By 1896 & 1900 he lived in Shasta county, California. In 1910 he lived in Eugene, Lane, Oregon.
He married Elsie J. Hall in about 1881, probably in Smith county, Kansas. They had 7 children, 5 surviving in 1900.
