Clement was the son of James Parsons & Winifred Spalding. He married Leathy Lanham on 17 February 1817 & they had 4 children-James, Mary, Thomas (who died young) and Althea. He married Elizabeth Blanford on 25 Feb 1825 in Washington County, Kentucky and where they had their eldest three children-John, William and Elizabeth. They lived for five years in Louisiana where sons, Thomas and Joseph were born. They then moved to Indian Creek, Monroe, Missouri, arriving in May 1841 and two more sons, Robert and Richard, were born. Clement is buried by his daughter, Althea.

Monroe County History:
"Squire Clement Parsons and family including his wife whose maiden name was Eliza Blandford, and their older children went to Louisiana from Kentucky remained there five years then came back to Missouri in May 1841, and settled in Monroe County where Squire Parsons made a good farm and lived a useful and respected life until his death which occurred in 1865. His wife died in 1875. The father, was for some years justice of the peace, and acquitted himself in the discharge of the duties of that office with great credit.
