Sarah Addline Leard, 98, resident of Ochelata, died at 10:15 PM on Wednesday in the Jane Phillips Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday in the Ochelata First Baptist Church with Pastor's Eddie Barnes and E.J. Barnes officiating. Interment will be in the Ochelata Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Sarah Addline (Addie) (Bennefield) Leard of Ochelata, passed away October 27, 2010. She was born August 15, 1912 to William B and Mollie Smith Bennefield in Hoffman Oklahoma, I.T. and was received into the Church of God of the Seventh Day on July 10, 1927. Addie was a homemaker who opened her home to many and always made them feel welcome. She opened her heart to many children besides her own and gave them a home. She enjoyed music and especially loved going to Bluegrass festivals. She loved to travel or have visitors, and they were always invited for dinner. She also enjoyed her chickens, camping, and a large garden which she shared with many friends and neighbors. She is survived by two daughters, Leta and her husband Bill Evans, Serena and husband Raymond Smith, one daughter-in-law, Carol Leard, 13 grandchildren, Athena Riff, Randy Leard, Sandy Keaton, Mike Smith, Rhonda Bettis , Shyla Hawkins, Duane Evans, Bobby Evans, Judy Viles, Jana Hardiman, Terry Smith, Kim Marquette, & Rondi Bryant, three sisters, Sallie Millhouse of Alice, Tx; Martha Tate and Leona Barnes, both of Bartlesville, 26 great grandchildren & 14 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.J. Leard, one son, Gene E Leard, her parents, six brothers and two sisters, two
