Mrs. Amelia V. Boppe, of near Cearfoss, Hagerstown, Route 4, died yesterday at 2:30 p.m. after a long illness, aged 68 years.
Born and raised in West Virginia, she was the daughter of John and Emily Ellen (Price) Jacobs, of Bedington, West Virginia. She was a member of the Broadfording Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are her husband, Martin Luther Boppe; children, Mrs. Hilson Mason, Hagerstown, Route 4; Martin Boppe, Winchester, Va.; Mrs. Russell McLucas, Greencastle, Pa., Route 2; Mrs. Kenneth Timmons, Hagerstown, Route 4; David Boppe, Grenncastle, Pa., Route 1,; Mrs Pearl Keefer, at home; 17 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Mrs. Mildred Racy, near Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Clara Sprinkle, Williamsport; Mrs. Susie Keller, Martinsburg, W. Va.; Isaac Jacobs, Clear Spring; Earl Jacobs, Martinsburg, W. Va.; James Jacobs, Security.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday. The body will be moved from the Leaf Funeral Home, Williamsport, at 1 p.m. and taken to the Broadfording Church of the Brethren, where services will take place at 2 p.m. The Revs. David Petre, Robert Seek of the Cedar Lawn Missionary Church, and Stanley Earhart of the Broadfording Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in Riverview Cemetery, Williamsport. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday and Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
