The funeral was Thursday at 1 p.m., in the Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home Chapel, Edgar. The Rev. Stuart Barnes Jamieson was the officiant. Interment was in the Edgar Cemetery.
The son of George and Mildred Strosnider Cottam, he was born Oct. 19, 1939, at Elk Creek, Neb.
As a small child, he attended Edgar Schools.
May 12, 1966, he was united in marriage to Linda M. Johnson at Missouri Valley, Iowa.
Cottam was employed by the Cadams Elevator, rural Superior, Werner Construction Company, Hastings, and by Robert Crumbliss, Edgar.
Survivors are his wife, Linda; daughters, Tammy Rae, Tracy Lynn and Kelly Jean, son, Jerry Dean, and father, George H. Cottam, all of Edgar; brothers, Bernard Cottam of Hereford, Texas, George M. Cottam of Hastings and Allen L. Cottam of Lompac, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. Earl Lowe (Marguerite) of Lincoln and Mrs. Lloyd Cox (Darlene) of Edgar; and many other relatives.

Johnson - Cottam Nuptials —
Miss Linda Johnson of Ashland and Larry Dean Cottam, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Cottam of Edgar, were married May 12 in Logan, la. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kotil of Logan were their attendants.
They will make their home in Logan where he is employed in the Chevrolet Garage.
The bride is a sister of Mrs. Roland Shipley and was employed in the Edgar Cafe while living here.
