Smithfield Herald
Oct 22, 1915.
Mr. Joe Rose, brother to our townsman, J. H. Rose, and son of Mr. J. J. Rose, of Meadow township, died at the home of his brother, Mr. Albert Rose, Monday afternoon, of Tuberculosis. He had been sick for sometime and his death was no surprise to his many friends and relatives. He was just in the early manhood of life's journey when death came. It is sad to see the close of the life of a young.
